Overview[]
Waelyn Cindra is a miniboss found in Kishuf Extern 01, released during the v0.80 update. She is accompanied by 3 Kishuf Elemental and has 500 health.
Strategy[]
It is advised to have at least one person move near all the enemies to group them together to make them easier to hit. The rest of the players should back up as much as possible to avoid drawing a elemental out of the self damaging position.
To take out the Kishuf Elementals run into an area that all enemies are less than 2 hexes away, then use 2 Rubber Ducks to block off two hexes to your front and back. This forces the Elementals to attack you directly, damaging all enemies in the process. Then use cards such as Protection Seal and some healing cards to survive until they kill themselves. They will kill themselves within a few turns.
To finish Waelyn, supporting players should bring higher damage cards or cards that give benefits from the Eternal Flame Status effect such as Claw Impale. Bringing healing cards is absolutely necessary due to the fact that the Eternal Flame status cannot be extinguished. Rest and Recovery is a very good healing card as it will heal the caster for 28 health at the cost of 1 bit, and the user will immediately wake up because of the Eternal Flame status effect.
Even if someone can survive without healing, they will no doubt will have taken some damage. Kishuf Extern 01 has no healing shrines, so it is also advised to heal at the end of every battle so that players can go back into another one immediately. Having one player collect bits until max and use Horn of the Unicorn to get all players up to a solid amount of health is a good strategy.
Backstory[]
“Waelyn Cindra. A heretic of the Eternal Flame. Furious that she wasn't as powerful as other cultists, she lashed out and killed her fellow people. The more she killed, the lesser the eternal flame caressed her armour.
She started to panic at the sight of this. She soon stopped and ran away, in a fear-filled frenzy. Allegedly, the Hierophant of the cult caught her. He launched a blinding blue light at her, she feared the most. Her final moments were of wishing she could atone for her sins. To make up for the atrocity she had caused. She felt nothing... She heard nothing... It was dark. Perhaps she had died.
But she awoke here. Confused. Scared. And for a while, alone. She tries her hardest to become one with the eternal flame again, embracing its flames to the point of extreme pain. She's quite conditioned to the pain, by now. But you won't. You see, she now believes that igniting herself isn't enough. Others must burn as well. So... good luck with that.“ - Sneal
